Job summary

Optum India is seeking a senior full-stack software engineer to design, build and maintain scalable microservices on Azure and AWS. You will collaborate across teams to deliver AI-enabled solutions, focusing on robust APIs and secure cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with React.js, FastAPI, and modern DevOps practices, plus hands-on Azure OpenAI integration and Snowflake/MySQL data work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack application development with solid expertise in React.js for building modern, responsive, and scalable user interfaces.
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating REST APIs using FastAPI, with a solid understanding of API design, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with LangChain, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, and Azure AI Search is highly desirable for developing advanced Generative AI solutions.
• Proven experience working with Azure Cloud, including integration of Azure OpenAI services to build AI-powered applications and intelligent user experiences.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices is preferred to support automated deployments and scalable application delivery.
• Solid database skills with experience in Snowflake and MySQL, including data modeling, query optimization, and integration with enterprise applications.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native solutions following Agile development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly scalable microservices within all phases of the SDLC on Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Establish, refine and integrate CI/CD, feature testing automation, performance testing as needed. Good understanding of Infrastructure as code
• Identify production and non-production application issues
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications, public cloud infrastructure cost, best cloud practices, scalability, and high availability
• Provide technical leadership, design and code review, serve as a mentor to junior developers
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).
