Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a mid-level server-side developer to design and build component-based applications using C# and .NET Core. You will work on web, mobile, and API driven projects, applying modern development practices in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, write design docs, deploy to AWS, and contribute to continuous improvement. Proficiency with SQL, MVC, Visual Studio, Git, and RESTful APIs is required, with a passion for learning new technologies.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with server-side C# / .NET Core (minimum 3 years).
• SQL databases such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of automation toolsets.
• Experience deploying applications to AWS.
• Proficiency with MVC architecture and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience with API integrations (JSON, RESTful; SOAP a plus).
• Git version control experience.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and build component‑based applications in a web/internet delivery environment.
• Work on new and existing applications along with enhancements to websites, web applications and mobile applications.
• Design, develop and support applications using current and new development technologies.
• Scope, implement, test and deploy new features and versions of core applications, databases and utilities.
• Perform hands‑on coding and designing of solutions that meet our business goals.
• Raise issues during sprint development cycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through retrospectives.
• Work with Product Managers to collect and document user requirements, develop user stories/tasks, and produce estimates for each change.
• Assist with providing third‑level support when appropriate.
• Write design technical documents, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
• Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Accurate time tracking.

Requirements

• Commercial experience of server‑side C# / .Net Core (minimum 3 years of professional experience, certification beneficial).
• SQL (Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL preferred).
• Knowledge of automation toolsets.
• Experience deploying applications to AWS.
• Microsoft Visual Studio.
• MVC.
• Industry standard API integrations (JSON, RESTful; SOAP experience a plus).
• Source control such as Git.
