A modern tech consultancy in Chennai is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain infrastructure and internal platforms for production systems. This role demands 6-9 years of experience in Platform Engineering or related fields, strong proficiency in AWS, and familiarity with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code. Where You'll Come In

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and internal platforms that power production systems at scale. You will work closely with engineering teams across geographies to improve reliability, security, automation, and deployment velocity. This is a hands on, senior level role requiring strong technical depth and the ability to operate independently.

What You'll Do

• Developing and maintaining custom software solutions
• Working with different technologies, including GCP, AWS (primarily Cloud Functions) and web development
• Designing, coding, implementing, and testing applications
• Creating documentation and ensuring the security and integrity of software applications
• Automating business processes through custom code
• Daily code pushes

Requirements

• 6–9+ years of experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps / SRE
• Hybrid role - requires 2 days in the office
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (or equivalent cloud platform)
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Deep knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, and distributed systems
