Sr Software Engineer - Platform (AI-Accelerated)

The Role
The nature of software development has changed significantly in the last year, and we’ve evolved how we build products. Our platform team builds and scales the core systems that power Jetpac’s consumer experience across 200+ countries.

We’ve reached meaningful scale and are rebuilding key parts of the platform to support the next phase of growth. You’ll work closely with engineers, product, design, and business teams to deliver foundational capabilities that unlock entire categories of product development.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale core consumer platform systems across web and backend
- Own features end-to-end: design, build, deploy, and iterate
- Use AI-assisted workflows across coding, testing, debugging, and review
- Structure workflows where AI can reliably generate and improve code
- Identify and solve bottlenecks in performance, reliability, and developer productivity
- Build shared components and internal tooling to improve team velocity
- Improve observability, debugging, and system reliability
Focus areas include
- API performance and backend systems
- Caching and data access patterns
- Experimentation, analytics, and event pipelines
- Localization and global readiness
Required Skills and Experience
- 3 –5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend fundamentals with experience building production systems
- Experience designing APIs, services, and scalable data models
- Strong product judgment able to balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
Critical requirement
- Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted or agent‑based development workflows in real projects
- Ability to review, debug, and improve agentic AI‑generated code
- Understanding of how to structure workflows so AI‑generated output is reliable and production‑ready
Familiarity with
- Postgres, Redis or similar data stores
- Caching and performance optimization techniques
- Authentication and identity systems
- Observability and monitoring tools
- Event pipelines and analytics systems
Example Projects You’ll Work On
- Redesign and scale the cart and checkout system to support multi‑product flows and high concurrency
- Build a shared platform layer for rewards, pricing, and promotions across multiple product lines
- Improve page load performance and API latency across global markets
- Design observability systems to detect and debug issues in real time
- Build internal workflows where AI systems assist in generating, testing, and validating production code
- Reduce development cycle time by creating repeatable AI‑assisted engineering workflows
- Evolve platform architecture to support new product categories and integrations
