Job summary

Pri India It Services in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to patient support capabilities by building REST microservices in Go and/or Java (Spring Boot), backed by PostgreSQL and deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service via containers, Helm, and CI/CD.

You will collaborate with BAs and QA, support SIT/UAT with vendors, uphold coding standards, and participate in testing, deployments, and incident analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field with 7–8 years of software development experience.
• Experience leading junior engineers and delivering distributed systems or enterprise apps.
• Strong production experience in Go or Java with Spring Boot and REST APIs.

Role overview

Works closely with business analysts and QA, supportsSIT/UATwith vendors where applicable, and maintains high standards for quality, communication, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Read requirements and design inputs,internalize business rules, and implement them inservice code, APIs and configurationnot as one-off scripts unless that is explicitly the deliverable.
• Partner with BAsto clarify scope and rules;raise questions earlyand document decisions, assumptions, and gaps.
• Upholdcoding standardsand team conventions (reviews, formatting, module boundaries, logging and audit expectations); implement and maintainautomated testsanddocument test evidencefor handoff to QA where required.
• Work with thetesting team through UAT; provide timely fixes, clarifications, and retest supportthrough completionof the cycle.
• SupportUATalongsidemultiple vendorswhen the program requires it (defect triage, environment checks, data/setup guidance within policy).
• Joincalls in EST morning hourswith PM, BAs, and stakeholders as scheduled.
• Demonstrateaccountability: proactive communication, transparent reporting, andtimely escalationof technical and functional risks or blockers.
• Establish and maintaineffective relationships with engineering, leadership, and client stakeholders.
• Anticipate delays or quality risks; keep customers/stakeholders informed of status, options, and actions taken.
• HonorSLAsand agreedquality/supportexpectations for owned components and releases.
• Analyze incidents and recurring issues; propose and deliverpreventiveimprovements (tests, monitoring, runbooks, code fixes).Identify opportunities forprocess improvement and automation(CI checks, deployment hygiene, operational toil reduction) within governance.
• Providedaily/weeklystatus to team and stakeholders as defined by the engagement.

Education / qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E., B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc.) orDiplomaor equivalent.
• 7–8 yearsof professionalsoftware developmentexperience in distributed systems or enterprise applications.
• Experienceguiding or leading junior engineers(technical direction, reviews, pairing, and quality ownership).

Mandatory requirements

• Strong production experience in at least one of: Go and Java with Spring Boot; ability toown features end-to-endin assigned services. (State in hiring if you requireboth from day oneorprimary + rampon the second stack.) (Consider Java as primary and Go as secondary skill)
• REST APIdevelopment: design, validation, error handling, security-aware defaults, and maintainable layering.
• PostgreSQL: proficient SQL; sound use of transactions, constraints, and performance basics from application code.
• Gitand collaborative delivery (merge/pull requests, meaningful reviews, traceable history).
• Azurefundamentals for application teams:AKS,Container Registry, and typicalCI/CD identity/secretspatterns.
• CI/CDexperience (GitLab CIor equivalent): build, test, artifact/image promotion, environment-based deploys.
• Stronganalytical and problem-solvingability;proactive, curious, and process-aware within defined service levels.
• Flexibilityto work acrossGo and Spring Bootcodebases as program needs evolve.
• Ability toinfluence and communicatewithin the team andcross-functionally(engineering, QA, BAs, PM, vendors).
• Ability to workindependentlyon complex issues and participate confidently inclient and onshorecalls.

Good to have

• Depth in the second stack(Spring Boot, GO).
• OAuth2/ JWT / API gateway integration patterns aligned with platform standards.
• Observability: structured logging, metrics, tracing, and practical dashboard use for incidents using grafana.
