Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack Development

Reporting to: Sr Manager – Software Engineering

Purpose of the role

The Global GenAI Team at Anheuser‑Busch InBev (AB InBev) is tasked with constructing competitive solutions utilizing GenAI techniques. These solutions aim to extract contextual insights and meaningful information from our enterprise data assets. As a Full‑stack Engineer, you will design and develop scalable, high‑quality web and mobile applications, build and optimise APIs for real‑time interactions, and implement robust, high‑performance solutions that enhance user experience and system reliability.

Key tasks & accountabilities

• Build and enhance web and mobile applications using React and React Native Web, ensuring seamless user experiences across platforms.
• Develop and optimise both backend and frontend components to meet quality standards for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and maintain robust authorization techniques, including OAuth and OAuth2.0, to secure APIs and ensure proper access control.
• Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and schema‑driven development (SDD) best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in event‑based systems and web applications, ensuring high traffic capacity and low latency.
• Document system architecture, design decisions, API specifications, and security protocols; collaborate with UX, ML and DevOps teams to automate deployment processes.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills

Level of educational attainment required

Academic degree in or related to Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Applied Computing, or any engineering discipline.

5+ years of real‑world experience developing scalable and high‑quality software.

Must have technical skills

• Backend stack: Python, Go, or Node.js; RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Front end: React, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS.
• Authorization techniques: OAuth, OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect.
• Databases: SQL, NoSQL, RDBMS.
