Mobility Global is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to a data-driven vehicle forecasting platform. You will work on scalable web applications using Java and React, and collaborate with product, design, and DevOps to deliver value.

You will champion modern development practices, CI/CD, code quality, and security, mentor junior engineers, and help upgrade our tech stack. The role is hybrid with in-office expectations based on location.

Competenze

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software experience developing large-scale software applications using Java.
• Experience with full-stack application development (Java + React), including backend services, web technologies, and database integration.
• Experience working with Java-based web applications.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong problem-solving skills and the curiosity to learn and apply a broad set of modern technologies and platforms. You will join a dynamic engineering team that leverages data-driven products to deliver innovative vehicle forecasting solutions and create meaningful competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute tofront-end architecture, design decisions, and development for scalable, maintainable web applications built with a modern component-based framework.
• Partner withback-end engineers, UX designers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver features aligned with user needs and business priorities.
• Drive best practices inCI/CD pipelines, automated testing, peer code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Implement and enforce standards for code quality, maintainability, and application security using code quality tools and software composition/security scanning tools.
• Contribute to and coordinate technology upgrades to keep the codebase current stable, and supportable.
• Mentor, train, and support hiring of junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a high-performance and inclusive engineering culture.
• Championagile delivery practices to ensure rapid, reliable release of product enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing large-scale software applications using Java.
• Experience with full-stack application development (Java and React), including backend services, web technologies, and database integration.
• Experience working with Java-based web applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and EKS is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Skills and Technologies:

Core Development

• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience building and maintaining backend services and enterprise web applications.

Frontend Development

• Experience with modern web development technologies, including HTML, React.js and related frameworks or libraries.
• React.js and JavaScript knowledge is desirable.

Cloud and Infrastructure

• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
• Exposure to cloud-native development concepts and services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, EKS, containers, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerized application deployment, or Kubernetes-based environments is desirable.

Data and APIs

• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to integrate applications with databases and develop data-driven solutions.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Snowflake or Click house knowledge is desirable.

DevOps and Tools

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
• Experience or exposure to tools such as Jenkins and Jira is preferred.

This is a hybrid role with in-office expectations determined by location and subject to change based on evolving business needs.
