Job summary

OutSystems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the Agentic Nexus Team. You will design and implement core AI platform features, including semantic search, RAG systems, and enterprise context graphs that power intelligent agentic workflows.

You will lead the technical design for knowledge graph solutions, integrate foundation models with scalable data infrastructure, and establish observability using OpenTelemetry across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• 5+ years in software development: distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, or data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in C#, Go, Python and Java.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and messaging technologies such as Kafka/NATS.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and databases (relational and/or NoSQL).
• Proven ability to debug complex issues, work independently, and drive projects to completion.
• An active learner of emerging technologies and approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core AI platform features: semantic search, RAG systems, and enterprise context graphs that power intelligent agentic workflows.
• Lead technical design for enterprise knowledge graph solutions, integrating foundation models and ML systems with scalable data infrastructure.
• Build comprehensive observability using OpenTelemetry across distributed agentic systems; ensure visibility into agent decision-making and data retrieval.
• Mentor engineers on building AI-aware systems, drive code quality, and contribute to continuous platform improvement.
• Leverage AI-driven development tools (Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development while maintaining architectural integrity and performance standards.
• Knowledge of product development best practices, continuous delivery, and testing.
• Last-line troubleshooting of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having on-call support rotation.
• Act as a technical mentor, driving best practices in development and continuous delivery.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and implementation of core AI-powered features within the Agentic Nexus platform. You will work on complex technical challenges spanning semantic search, RAG systems, knowledge graphs, and enterprise AI agents, while establishing observability standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in how enterprises leverage AI for intelligent data management and agentic automation.
