Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer (Java & AWS) to design and scale enterprise AI solutions across banking and enterprise portfolios. The role emphasizes autonomous agents, RAG pipelines, and AI orchestration using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services.

The ideal candidate will combine Java, backend, and cloud expertise with GenAI capabilities to deliver secure, scalable AI-powered workflows and integrations across internal platforms and APIs.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience building AI-enabled enterprise solutions and GenAI PoC frameworks.
• Strong cloud experience on AWS with serverless and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and embeddings.
• Proficiency in integrating external enterprise APIs and data sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI agents with autonomous reasoning and workflow execution capabilities.
• Design and implement RAG pipelines and vector database integrations.

We is seeking a highly motivated Agentic AI Engineer (Java & AWS) to help build and scale enterprise Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions across Digital, Lending, Treasury, Client Onboarding, and Commercial Banking portfolios.

The ideal candidate will combine expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS Cloud, LLMs, RAG, and AI Agent Frameworks to develop intelligent autonomous systems capable of reasoning, planning, task execution, and enterprise workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

Agentic AI & Generative AI Engineering

• Develop and maintain AI agents with autonomous reasoning, planning, tool usage, and workflow execution capabilities.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Integrate vector databases and embeddings for context-aware information retrieval.
• Build and optimize AI evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, latency, reliability, and hallucination reduction.
• Implement advanced prompt engineering and prompt orchestration strategies.
• Design agent workflows integrating multiple enterprise tools and APIs.

Java & Backend Engineering

• Design and develop Java/Spring Boot microservices supporting AI-driven workflows.
• Build secure and scalable backend services integrating AI agents with enterprise applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Perform application performance optimization and troubleshooting.

Frontend & Full Stack Development

• Support UI integrations using React or Angular frameworks.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to build AI-powered user experiences.
• Develop reusable and scalable frontend integration components.

Cloud & AWS Development

• Work with AWS services including:
