Valeo India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Discipline Engineer to lead embedded software architecture for automotive systems. You will work on AUTOSAR-based designs, C/C++ development, and MISRA compliance, collaborating with hardware teams and external vendors to ensure robust software integration.

The role requires strong debugging skills, knowledge of RTOS, and experience with automotive safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in signal processing and architecture design for automotive embedded systems.
• Strong programming in C/C++ for microcontrollers with real-time constraints.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR configurations, MISRA rules, and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements.
• Provide detailed reviews and clarifications to stakeholders for project alignment.
• Work with hardware teams to ensure software-hardware integration.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to integrate external software.
• Develop, define and maintain the software architecture of the product.
• Design interfaces per AUTOSAR specifications and document in the HLD.
• Estimate resources (RAM/ROM/CPU) and manage software components.
• Drive AUTOSAR-compliant architectures and lead software integration across OSs.
• Participate in debugging and resolution of critical software issues.

Autonomous in HW & SW Debugging

• Develop and optimize signal processing algorithms using MATLAB or C.
• Strong experience in Signal Processing, Detection and Estimation.
• Skilled in AUTOSAR / Non-AUTOSAR architecture and configuration (Especially NVM, COM & DIAG)
• Experience in Driver development (CAN, LIN, Flexray, SPI, ADC, Timer, Watchdog, Interrupt, DMA, Memory)
• Very good experience in CAN/LIN Stack and Memory Stack
• Skilled in Bootloaders and Diagnostics (UDS).
• Excellent experience with software of small embedded devices (Microcontrollers)
• Strong embedded programming experience in C/ C++
• Experience in RTOS (OSEK - Preferred)
• Good knowledge in MISRA Rules and Compliances
• Functional Safety Experience is plus
• Automotive SPICE is a plus
• Ideally experience in Automotive development, driving assistance systems or Embedded Systems
• 5 to 10 years of experience as Software Architect or similar function

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehensively understand system requirements.

• Provide detailed reviews and clarifications to relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Work closely with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors (e.g., Vector, EB, MCAL) to incorporate any third-party software into the product.
• Understand existing sophisticated architectures and drive resolution of architecture-related issues.
• Develop, define, and maintain the software architecture of the product.
• Allocate software requirements to the design elements of the architecture.
• Design application software components and interfaces according to AUTOSAR specifications
• Document the interfaces in the HLD document to ensure comprehensive understanding and traceability.
• Conduct resource estimation (RAM, ROM, CPU Load) and exercise control over software components and algorithms.

Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources for optimal project outcomes.

• Drive the implementation of AUTOSAR-compliant software architectures and component
• Lead the integration of software with various operating systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate actively in the analysis and resolution of critical software issues through debugging processes.
• Participate in reviews and acceptance of input documents related to software development.
• Engage in reviews of output deliverables, actively resolving any open findings.
• Support the work of the software project manager to define and deliver architecture work products per the planned timelines.
