Job summary

ServiceTitan seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to data systems and infrastructure powering global data across the platform. You will own ingestion pipelines, reliability, and data quality tooling, delivering scalable solutions across real‑time and batch workloads.

You will design data platform components, monitor systems, and participate in on‑call rotations. Strong ownership, Python/SQL skills, and experience with Spark, Kafka, and Snowflake are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software or data engineering, production level.
• Hands-on experience building batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems: reliability, scalability, fault tolerance.
• Proactive ownership and accountability for pipelines and infra.
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms.
• Experience with Spark Structured Streaming and Iceberg/Delta Lake/Hudi.
• Experience with Snowflake and Airflow.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Ability to build and use AI agents for engineering tasks.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the systems and infrastructure that power data across ServiceTitan. You'll work on ingestion frameworks, pipeline reliability, data quality tooling, and platform capabilities that engineering and analytics teams depend on. This is a technically deep role for an engineer who takes pride in building things the right way and wants ownership over meaningful infrastructure.

• Strong ownership mindset — you follow through on what you build and operate it well
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms
• Experience with Spark Structured Streaming and open table formats — Apache Iceberg or similar (Delta Lake, Hudi)
• Experience with cloud data warehouses — Snowflake strongly preferred
• Experience with workflow orchestration — Airflow or similar
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Ability to build and use AI agents for engineering and operational tasks — from automating runbooks to building support triage tools
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with CDC patterns and tooling (Debezium or similar)
• Familiarity with DBT or transformation frameworks
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Flink, Pinot, etc.)
• Prior use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) or LLM‑based agent frameworks (LangChain, Claude, etc.)
