Job summary

Tekion Corporation in Bengaluru is seeking a senior data engineer to design and evolve a cloud-scale, multi-tenant data platform powering analytics and AI-driven experiences.

You will shape the enterprise data foundation, move from batch to near real-time ingestion, and drive governance, quality, and scalability across thousands of dealership users and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Experience building scalable batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on with AWS services including EMR, S3, Glue, and Athena.
• Experience with streaming (Kafka/Flink/Kinesis).
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, Data Vault, and warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Hudi.
• Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and monitoring.
• Understanding of partitioning, schema evolution, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data platforms, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
• Deep expertise in data modeling, including Data Vault and dimensional modeling.
• Advanced SQL skills with optimization for large-scale data processing.
• Hands-on with distributed data processing using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Hudi for lakehouse tech.
• Design and implement batch, streaming, and CDC-based data ingestion pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Scala for data engineering apps.
• Experience with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration platforms.

You will play a key role in designing and evolving a multi-tenant, cloud-scale data platform that serves thousands of dealerships and business users whilemaintainingstrong tenant isolation, governance, and data quality standards.

As part of our modernization journey, you will help drive the evolution from batch-oriented data processing to near real-time and real-time data ingestion architectures, enabling faster decision-making and unlocking new AI and machine learning use cases across the business.

Key Role and Responsibilitie

• Strong experience in designing and building scalable data platforms, data warehouses, andlakehousearchitectures.
