Job summary

SonicWall is seeking an experienced C/C++ systems engineer to design and develop control-plane and system services for a high‑assurance firewall platform. The role focuses on building management interfaces, APIs, and secure diagnostics.

Candidates should have 8+ years in embedded C/C++ development, strong Linux internals knowledge, and experience with security services, PKI, and vulnerability remediation. This is a full‑time role based in Maharashtra, India.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in C/C++ systems development for embedded platforms
• Experience with configuration frameworks, API design, CLI development, logging and SSH access
• Strong understanding of network security concepts (SSL/TLS, authentication, PKI)
• Experience with certificate management, license enforcement, vulnerability mitigation, secure coding practices
• Proficiency with Linux or embedded OS internals and debugging complex issues

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control-plane and system services for a firewall platform

Responsibilities:

• Design and developcontrol‑plane and system services for a firewall platform, operating above the networking dataplane (OSI Layer 3+).
• Build and maintainmanagement interfaces and APIs, including configuration frameworks, CLI, secure access (SSH), logging, and diagnostics.
• Implementsecurity services such as authentication (SAML), guest access, SSL/TLS handling, andcertificate lifecycle management.
• Develop embedded services forcontent filtering, including URL categorization, reputation, and rating systems, along with SNMP/telemetry support.
• Lead efforts in licensing systems, vulnerability remediation, and secure architecture in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in C/C++ systems development for embedded platforms, security appliances, or network operating systems.
• Strong hands‑on expertise withconfiguration frameworks, service APIs, CLI development, logging systems, and secure remote access (SSH).
• Solid understanding ofL3–L7 networking and security concepts, including SSL/TLS, authentication, identity federation, and PKI.
• Experience with certificate management, license enforcement frameworks, vulnerability mitigation, and secure coding practices.
• Proficiency inLinux or embedded OS internals, debugging complex system issues, and driving technical discussions across teams.
