Job summary

Procore Technologies is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join the Product & Technology Team in Bengaluru. You will collaborate with engineering, product, design, and data teams to build customer-focused Android solutions on our platform.

The role reports to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and is based in our Bangalore office. Immediate joiners are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience (3+ years building native Android apps with Kotlin and Java).
• Strong understanding of Android architectural components (Room, LiveData, Jetpack, Compose) and MVVM.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flows is a plus.
• Experience building apps with offline capabilities is a plus.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs; solid multi-threading and performance optimization knowledge.

We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. We’re a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security and business systems.

This role is part of Procore’s mobile software development team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with other project stakeholders to design and build customer solutions on our Android platform.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll partner intimately with our customer base, translating their fundamental needs into technological SaaS solutions. We’ll provide you with the tools and resources needed to achieve extraordinary results that render a significant impact extending beyond the boundaries of traditional engineering roles.

This position will report to our Sr. Software Engineering Manager and will be based in our Bangalore office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Leverage your technical proficiency to serve as the go-to expert in your technical area, acting as a representative of your team, and work independently across the scope of your team
• Help set standards for your teams, providing technical and procedural advice, and decision-making

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of Engineering Experience (3+ years of experience building native Android applications using Kotlin and Java)
• Broad and deep understanding of Android’s architectural components (Room, LiveData, Jetpack, Compose, etc.) and the MVVM architecture
• Experience with Coroutines and Flows is a plus
• Experience building apps with offline capabilities is a plus
• Experience working with RESTful APIsSolid understanding of multi-threading, concurrent programming, and performance optimization
