Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in Android.
• Strong Kotlin and Java proficiency and modern Android practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• Deep knowledge of Android fundamentals including Jetpack components, multithreading, networking, memory management, and data storage.
• Experience with MVC, MVVM, or VIPER architectures.
• Proven ability to optimize performance and memory/battery efficiency.
• Experience with Volley, Glide, Lottie, and Firebase (FCM).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize advanced Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and modern Android frameworks.

• Own features and technical modules throughout their full lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with product managers and backend engineers to define requirements, design solutions, and integrate reliable APIs.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve application structure, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Conduct thoughtful code reviews and promote engineering best practices across performance, security, reliability, and code quality.

• Investigate and adopt relevant Android technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve the product and development process.

• Diagnose crashes, performance issues, memory problems, and power‑consumption concerns, implementing effective solutions.

• Help maintain a high-quality user experience through rigorous testing and disciplined development practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years of hands‑on Android development.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with a solid understanding of modern Android development practices.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, with strong computer science fundamentals.

• Deep knowledge of Android fundamentals, including Jetpack components, multithreading, networking, memory management, and data storage.

• Practical experience with architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or VIPER.

• Proven ability to optimize application performance, investigate crashes, and improve memory and battery efficiency.

• Experience with Android libraries and services such as Volley, Glide, Lottie, and Firebase, including Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Nice to have: experience with the Google Play submission and review process.

• Nice to have: familiarity with email protocols such as SMTP and IMAP.

• Nice to have: exposure to Linux environments or backend services.

• Nice to have: experience with hybrid mobile development using React Native.
