Thomson Reuters seeks an AI/ML Lead Engineer (Python) in Bengaluru to drive architecture, design and delivery of scalable AI/ML solutions across CV, NLP, and IDP domains. You will build AI agents, optimize models, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, enterprise-grade AI capabilities.

The role emphasizes MLOps, Generative AI awareness, and cloud-based deployment, with a strong focus on performance monitoring and continuous improvement in an Agile setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• 3+ years in ML/AI solution development.
• Strong experience with Python ecosystem and AI/ML frameworks across CV, NLP, IDP.
• Experience with MLOps and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of AI initiatives, including architecture design, roadmap alignment, and delivery oversight.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions leveraging modern AI technologies, MLOps, and LLMOps best practices.
• Optimize AI model performance through advanced techniques, including domain adaptation of third‑party models and algorithms.
• Build and enhance AI‑powered applications, including AI agents and intelligent automation solutions.
• Design and implement monitoring frameworks to track application performance, user behavior, and product insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Stay current with emerging AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies and drive adoption of relevant innovations.
• Act as a technical thought leader by contributing to architecture discussions, sharing AI expertise, and influencing engineering direction.
• Support continuous improvement of development, deployment, and operational processes for AI systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Python development.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Machine Learning and AI solution development.
• Strong experience in Python, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, FastAPI, Scikit‑learn, and TensorFlow/PyTorch, with hands‑on expertise in developing AI/ML solutions across Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)/Document Analysis systems. Experience building AI Agents and AI‑powered applications.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools, frameworks, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to or hands‑on experience with .NET and C# technologies.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Familiarity with LLMOps practices and AI model lifecycle management.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise‑scale cloud environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for AI/ML applications.
• Experience working with products in the Tax, Accounting, Legal, or Financial domains.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across teams.
