Lyric is an AI‑first, platform‑based healthcare technology company, committed to simplifying the business of care by preventing inaccurate payments and reducing overall waste in the healthcare ecosystem, enabling more efficient use of resources to reduce the cost of care for payers, providers, and patients.
Formerly ClaimsXten, Lyric has 35 years of pre‑pay editing expertise and is recognized as the 2025 Best in KLAS for Pre‑Payment Accuracy and Integrity. It is HI‑TRUST and SOC2 certified and a 2025 CandE Award recipient for Candidate Experience.
We operate at the intersection of FinTech and Healthcare, aiming to simplify payment integrity and create value for insurers, providers, and consumers. While not a startup, we move as one when it matters.
Position
Full‑Stack Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end delivery from Angular front‑ends (including micro‑frontend strategies) to resilient .NET microservices.
- Use AI agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) to perform framework upgrades, refactors, API extraction, test scaffolding, and documentation; catch hallucinations and prevent regressions before they hit a PR.
- Build reusable AI playbooks: prompt templates, repo‑level agent instructions, migration checklists, review heuristics, and clear definition of done standards.
- Modernize the .NET + SQL Server stack: upgrade legacy services to current .NET (LTS where appropriate), untangle architectural boundaries, and address performance issues.
- Push toward a proper RESTful, versioned API layer built for correctness and maintainability.
- Improve SQL Server performance through query tuning, indexing, and transactional correctness; design schemas and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
- Develop data pipelines (Kafka, etc.) when needed.
- Implement security and privacy defaults: least privilege, safe data handling, automated testing, CI gating, structured logging, and observability.
- Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and engineers to translate business problems into working software; build realistic delivery plans and manage trade‑offs.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years building and shipping production systems in real software with real users.
- Proficiency in C# and modern .NET (Core and beyond) with experience in large codebases, meaningful refactoring, and migration.
- Strong SQL Server expertise: schema design, query tuning, performance troubleshooting.
- Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS (Azure is particularly relevant).
- API design and implementation: service‑oriented architectures with versioning, authentication, reliability, and testing.
- Active daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) for multi‑file refactors, migrations, test generation, and review workflows.
- Clear communication: concise PR descriptions, pragmatic design docs, low ego collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience modernizing legacy ASP.NET/.NET Framework environments.
- Knowledge of Azure modernization patterns.
- Experience with distributed systems tooling such as Kafka, event‑driven architectures, or data‑heavy pipelines.
- Front‑end experience with Angular and/or React/Next.js.
- Background in regulated domains (healthcare, fintech, payments) where high reliability is required.
Our Goal
Build an AI‑first platform at the intersection of healthcare and fintech, providing simplified consumer and patient solutions while continuously identifying unmet needs.
