Lyric is an AI‑first platform‑based healthcare technology company that simplifies the business of care by preventing inaccurate payments and reducing waste in the healthcare ecosystem.
Full‑Stack Engineer – Modernization
We are transforming our payment integrity platform. This role builds modern, scalable web experiences backed by event‑driven services, owning end‑to‑end delivery from modular Angular front‑ends to resilient .NET microservices.
Key Responsibilities
- Ship modernization work rapidly, using AI agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate migrations, refactors, test coverage, and documentation while catching hallucinations and preventing regressions.
- Create reusable playbooks: prompt templates, repository‑level agent instructions, migration checklists, review heuristics, and definition of done standards for AI‑assisted changes.
- Modernize the legacy .NET + SQL Server stack: upgrade services to current .NET (LTS), refactor architecture boundaries, implement RESTful versioned APIs, and improve SQL performance and indexing.
- Own security and privacy defaults—least privilege, safe data handling, automated tests, CI guardrails, structured logging, and observability.
- Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and engineers to turn business problems into deliverable software, manage trade‑offs, and ensure predictable delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of production system experience with real users.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Core and modern .NET.
- Large‑code‑base refactoring and migration experience.
- Strong SQL Server expertise: schema design, query tuning, performance troubleshooting.
- Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS; Azure especially relevant.
- API design: building and maintaining service‑oriented architectures with versioning, authentication, reliability, and testing.
- Daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) for multi‑file refactors, migrations, test generation, and review workflows.
- Clear communication: thoughtful PR descriptions, straightforward design docs, collaborative, low‑ego.
Preferred Qualifications
- Legacy ASP.NET / .NET Framework modernization experience.
- Azure modernization patterns knowledge.
- Experience with distributed systems tooling such as Kafka, event‑driven architectures, and Postgres alongside SQL Server.
- Front‑end experience with Angular or React/Next.js.
- Experience establishing agent‑friendly engineering practices: AI‑friendly instructions, CI guardrails, feature flags, canary deployments.
- Background in regulated domains (healthcare, fintech, payments).
Our ambition is to be an AI‑first platform at the intersection of healthcare and fintech, simplifying consumer and patient solutions for plans and providers.
