Job summary

Chubb India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Playwright Automation to build and automate QA for insurance web apps and APIs. You will collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to deliver high-quality software that complies with industry standards.

The role requires 7+ years in automation and functional testing, strong programming skills, and experience with Playwright, Selenium, APIs, SQL, and CI/CD integration. A background in Property & Casualty insurance is a plus.

Role Overview

Chubb is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Engineer for the development of insurance web application and APIs. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance business and the ability to effectively communicate with both onshore and offshore resources in the development of high-quality software solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, deploy web-based applications and APIs that ensure Chubb's compliance with industry regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• 7+ years of experience in automation and functional testing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Java
• Knowledgeable about testing methodologies and automation tools.
• Property & Casualty insurance domain experience secondary skill set.
• Advanced proficiency in test case design and execution.
• Strong programming skills for test automation.
• Extensive knowledge of testing tools including Playwright, Selenium, APIs, SQL
• Thorough understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing processes.
• Experience in applying AI-driven approaches to enhance Quality Engineering practices by accelerating automation development, reducing manual effort, improving test coverage, and supporting smarter test design and maintenance.
