Job summary

Experian Hyderabad is seeking a Technical Leader for Java Full Stack development to own architecture, drive AI-enabled modernization, and set engineering standards across the product suite.

You will mentor engineers, lead high-impact enhancements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape roadmaps in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of Java Full Stack development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Frontend experience with Angular or React.
• Working knowledge of cloud technologies.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies and AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture and design decisions across the product suite, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Lead the technical strategy for AI-driven capability adoption and integration into engineering workflows.
• Set engineering standards for Java Full Stack development and cloud migrations.
• Contribute to complex application development and modernization initiatives.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and act as a technical escalation point.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape technical roadmaps and communicate trade-offs.

Job Description

• Technical Leadership
  • Own technical architecture and design decisions across the product suite, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with platform modernization goals
  • Lead the technical strategy for AI-driven capability adoption, evaluating and integrating AI/GenAI tools and practices into engineering workflows
  • Set engineering standards and best practices for Java Full Stack development (Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React)
  • Drive architectural decisions related to cloud infrastructure and platform migration efforts
  Hands-On Engineering
  • Contribute directly to complex application development, particularly on high-impact or high-risk components
  • Lead design and implementation of critical system enhancements and modernization initiatives
  • Perform in-depth code reviews and set the technical bar for the team's output
  Mentorship & Influence
  • Mentor and coach senior and mid-level engineers, raising the overall technical capability of the team
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex engineering problems
  • Influence engineering culture and practices beyond a single team, partnering with architecture and other engineering leads
  Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, delivery, and product leadership to shape technical roadmaps
  • Represent engineering in cross-functional planning for major initiatives (e.g., platform modernization, AI adoption)
  • Communicate technical trade-offs and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  Strategic Ownership
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities proactively, rather than executing only against defined tickets
  • Drive continuity and stability across critical systems during periods of transition or modernization
  • Contribute to long-term technical vision and roadmap planning for the engineering organization
  • You will report to an Engineering Manager
  • You are required to WFO 2 days a week as its a Hybrid work mode

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in Java Full Stack development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Frontend development experience with Angular or React
• Working knowledge of cloud technologie
• Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms
