Job summary

First American (India) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive innovation and deliver high-quality software. You will collaborate with engineering leadership, architect, and product teams to advance goals and improve the software lifecycle.

You will contribute to code reviews, own operations responsiveness, and push for scalable solutions across microservices, cloud, and data platforms. The role emphasizes strong technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 4+ years with Microsoft technologies: C# (.NET Core, .NET Framework), TypeScript & NestJS, Node.js.
• 4+ years with microservices and event-driven architecture (Kafka or equivalent).
• 4+ years with React.js or Angular.
• 1+ years with cloud platforms (AWS preferred): EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
• 4+ years Relational (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, PowerShell.
• Exposure to observability tools: Splunk, ELK, DataDog.
• Understanding of testing strategies: Unit, BDD, TDD.
• Knowledge of Gen AI/LLMs and Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
• AWS/Azure Developer certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineering Manager, Architect, Product Manager and team.
• Deliver high-quality software and drive improvements across the SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews and build cross-team relationships.
• Respond to operational issues and own resolutions within scope.
• Identify technical blind spots and clarify ambiguous ideas.
• Build relationships across teams to coordinate requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of features and maintainable codebase.

Technology Stack

We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience in the following areas:

• 4+ years with Microsoft technologies: C# (.NET Core, .NET Framework), TypeScript & NestJS, Node.js
• 4+ years with microservices, event driven architecture using Apache Kafka or any other event processing service
• 4+ years with one of the modern UI frameworks: React.js, Angular
• 1+ years with cloud platforms (AWS preferred): EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, VPC
• 4+ years Relational (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB) databases
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, PowerShell
• Exposure to observability tools: Splunk, ELK Stack, DataDog
• Understanding of testing strategies: Unit Testing, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Knowledge of Gen AI, LLMs and Python is a plus
• Knowledge of Data Analytics tool like Databricks is a plus
