Job summary

NIIT is seeking a skilled PHP & Wordpress developer with minimum 3 years of experience to join our development team in Gurugram. You will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, and contribute to high-quality, scalable web solutions.

You will work with PHP, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL, implement REST APIs and third-party integrations, ensure performance, security, and SEO, and troubleshoot across the stack. This is a 1-year contract role with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of PHP/WordPress development experience.
• Experience building WordPress themes and plugins.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, JS, and HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Customize existing themes, plugins, and WordPress functionality as per business requirements.
• Write clean, reusable, optimized, and secure PHP, Reactjs code.
• Work extensively with WordPress hooks, filters, custom post types, taxonomies, and APIs.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs.
• Work with MySQL databases, including database design, queries, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Perform website debugging, testing, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot WordPress, PHP, plugin, theme, database, and server-related issues.
• Optimize websites for speed, security, SEO, and scalability.
