Job summary

Bluescope is seeking a Java Backend Developer to build secure, scalable backend services using Java 21, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will design RESTful APIs, implement business logic, and collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps to deliver robust systems.

You will work on database integration with Oracle and PostgreSQL, apply security with Spring Security, JWT, and OAuth2, and participate in code reviews, testing, and production support to ensure high performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Java backend development with Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of OOP, collections and exception handling.
• Experience with microservices architecture, REST APIs, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Database design and optimization with Oracle and PostgreSQL; SQL proficiency.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate and Liquibase for schema changes; security via Spring Security, JWT, OAuth2.
• Unit testing with JUnit/Mockito; familiar with logging and debugging; DevOps basics with Git, Docker, Kubernetes.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Java 21, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and database development. The candidate will be responsible for developing secure and scalable backend applications, implementing business workflows, integrating systems, optimizing application performance, and providing production support.

Roles and Responsibilities :

2. Spring Boot & Microservices: Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot.
3. REST API Development: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using JSON, Swagger, and OpenAPI specifications.
4. Database Development: Design database schemas, write SQL queries, and optimize database performance using Oracle and PostgreSQL.

12. System Integration: Integrate internal and external systems through APIs and backend services.
