Job summary

Ansira in Bengaluru is seeking a hands-on software engineer with deep experience in C#, .NET Framework, modern .NET / ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server. You will build and enhance proprietary web applications, create APIs, and contribute to architecture and modernization efforts across teams.

You will work with OpenAPI/Swagger, secure authentication (OAuth2/OpenID Connect), and modern tooling in CI/CD pipelines. Strong front-end basics with Vue.js, TypeScript, HTML and CSS are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong experience with both .NET Framework and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Experience modernising or migrating large-scale enterprise applications.
• Strong SQL Server expertise including T-SQL, stored procedures, query tuning, indexing, and schema changes.
• Experience with Entity Framework / EF Core or similar ORMs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, dependency injection, and domain-driven design.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, queues, scheduling, retries, and idempotency.
• Front-end experience with Vue.js (preferred), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with automated testing, Git, and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of application security, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, OWASP principles, and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn and navigate a large existing codebase across UI, services, business logic, databases, and background processing components.
• Analyse and document current system behaviour, dependencies, and technical debt.
• Communicate complex technical concepts, architecture decisions, delivery progress, and risks effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, operations, and business teams.
• Create characterisation and regression tests around critical functionality before implementing changes.
• Contribute to architecture, migration planning, and incremental modernisation initiatives.
• Develop APIs, services, background workers, UI components, and data access layers.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical decisions and risks.

Job description

This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting proprietary web applications used across the organization. This role partners closely with project and engineering teams throughout the Initiation, Planning, Development, Deployment, and Ongoing Support & Maintenance phases of our Agile methodology, working from documented scope and deliverables. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on software engineer with deep experience in C#, .NET Framework, modern .NET / ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, along with practical experience building and integrating APIs, implementing secure authentication solutions, and leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools.

Cloud experience with Azure. Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform). Experience modernising legacy web applications and reporting solutions. Experience with Redis, workflow engines, or approval-management systems. Experience using AI-assisted development tools. AI & Agentic Engineering Daily user of AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, or similar platforms. Hands-on experience with n8n and other workflow orchestration platforms to automate engineering and business processes. Experience designing, implementing, and operating agentic workflows involving AI agents, tool usage, autonomous task execution, and multi-agent collaboration. Strong understanding of LLM integration patterns, RAG architectures, vector databases, MCP integrations, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration frameworks. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities where AI can eliminate manual work, accelerate delivery, improve quality, or enhance customer experiences. Experience building production‑grade AI solutions rather than simply experimenting with AI tooling.
