Job summary

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) network seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications on the Microsoft stack. You will work with engineers across the global laboratory network to deliver robust ELN-related solutions.

Ideal candidates have 4–7 years of Microsoft stack experience, strong .NET skills, and a solid grounding in OOP, SOLID, and design patterns. You will participate in Agile Scrum teams and contribute to code reviews and performance

Qualifications

Senior Software Engineer

Location: Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) network, reporting to an Engineering Manager.

Roles at BPT include developing next-generation applications and Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) systems used by scientists, engineers, and technicians across the global laboratory network.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using the Microsoft stack (C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API). Collaborate on n-tier architecture, write efficient code and queries, troubleshoot performance-related issues, and participate in code reviews. Provide technical recommendations and support troubleshooting and resolving of business and application problems.

Requirements

Experience

• 4 to 7 years of experience developing end-to-end web applications using the Microsoft stack.
• Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API.
• Good working knowledge of Cosmos DB, MSSQL.
• Experience with TFS.
• Familiarity with UI testing and unit testing (MS Test, Jasmine, MOQ, NUnit, Karma).
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns (Creational, Structural, Behavioral).
• Experience designing and working with n-tier architectures.
• Ability to provide technical recommendations and solve technical problems.
• Experience with code review processes.
• Awareness of best programming practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, write efficient code and queries, use SQL profiler.
• Working knowledge of authentication and authorization (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
• Experience in at least one SOA project.
• Experience in agile (preferably Scrum).

Qualifications

Performance Appraisal

Eurofins has a strong focus on performance management with quarterly calibration, half-yearly reviews, and annual reviews. KPIs will be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be communicated and documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
