Job summary

Empower Global Business Services India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of significant software features and mentor engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality code.

You will participate in code reviews, investigate complex issues, and contribute to architectural decisions while adopting modern technologies and development practices.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Pro*C, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, UNIX (Solaris) and Java.
• Agile/Scrum methodology, Shell Programming (C-shell, KORN Shell) and PERL.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to debug and improve products.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, code comments, clear and efficient code.
• Assist in code reviews and enforce standard practices within the team.
• Continuously learn and adapt to modern technologies and development practices.

The Senior Software Engineer is a seasoned professional responsible for implementing complex software systems, leading development projects, and providing technical expertise. They are key contributors to the architecture and innovation of software products.

Essential Functions

• Lead the design and development of significant software features or projects.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and prioritize software requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality code standards.

Experience

• 6-8 years of hands‑on technology experience with ability work independently and has an understanding of how a system is designed technically A minimum of 6 - 8 years of hands‑on experience on Pro*C,PL/SQL,Oracle SQL,UNIX (Solaris) and Java programming language.
• Agile/ Scrum methodology Shell Programming (C-shell, KORN Shell) and PERL.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent applicable work experience.
• Enthusiasm to work and learn in a team environment.
• Ability to work on a task independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in designing a system by working with other technical architects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with JavaScript and either Angular or React JS frame work is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle Forms is a plus.
