Job summary

Opteamix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Bengaluru with 3–6 years of experience in Java and Calypso. The role focuses on developing and maintaining FitNesse fixtures and Java components that leverage Calypso APIs to automate regression testing for Back Office processes.

You will collaborate with Development, Business Analysts, and QA teams to build scalable automation solutions that ensure the quality and stability of Capital Markets applications.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or Quality Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Java development and automation.
• Good understanding of Calypso Back Office module and Calypso APIs.
• Experience with Git or other source control systems; exposure to CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FitNesse fixtures and Java components for automated regression testing of Calypso Back Office modules.
• Design automation solutions using Java and Calypso APIs to validate business workflows and functionality.
• Build and maintain reusable automated regression suites for Back Office processes.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and QA to translate requirements into automated tests.
• Integrate new functionality into the automation framework while ensuring code quality and reusability.
• Analyze automation failures and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and improve QE best practices.
• Ensure adequate regression coverage for new features and production fixes.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in Java and Calypso, preferably with hands-on experience in the Calypso Back Office module. The primary focus of this role is to develop and maintain FitNesse fixtures and supporting Java components that leverage Calypso APIs to automate regression testing for Back Office business processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with Development, Business Analysts, and QA teams to build scalable and maintainable automation solutions that ensure the quality and stability of Capital Markets applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FitNesse fixtures and supporting Java components for automated regression testing of Calypso Back Office modules.
• Design and implement automation solutions using Java and Calypso APIs to validate business workflows and application functionality.
• Build, enhance, and maintain reusable automated regression suites for critical Back Office business processes.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into automated test scenarios.
• Integrate new functionality into the existing automation framework while ensuring code quality, maintainability, and reusability.
• Analyse automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the automation framework and QE best practices.
• Ensure adequate regression coverage for new features, enhancements, and production fixes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for test automation, framework design, and release quality.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience with the Calypso Back Office module.
• Experience developing and maintaining Java-based automation framework components.
• Good understanding of Calypso APIs and integration mechanisms.
• Experience with Git or other source control systems.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
• Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with FitNesse.
• Understanding of regression testing and Quality Engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
