Job summary

LPL Financials is seeking a senior SDET to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for cloud-native and distributed applications in Hyderabad. The role covers functional, API, contract, performance, and end-to-end testing across microservices architectures.

You will mentor junior SDETs, collaborate with architects, developers, product managers, and DevOps, and drive intelligent QA practices, including AI-powered test generation, self-healing automation, and release risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Quality Engineering, or Test Automation roles.
• Strong programming expertise in one or more object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Go.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit.
• Extensive experience in API testing and automation using Postman, Rest Assured, Karate.
• Hands-on experience with contract testing frameworks and consumer-driven contract testing methodologies using Pact.
• Strong experience in integration testing, end-to-end testing, and service virtualization within microservices and distributed system architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native application testing across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Octopus.
• Experience with performance testing and performance engineering using JMeter, LoadRunner.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Kafka, Kong, TIBCO EMS, IBM DataPower.
• Hands-on experience with test management and quality governance platforms including Zephyr Enterprise, qTest.
• Strong experience using Jira for requirements management, defect tracking, sprint planning, and Agile delivery.
• Experience with cloud-based test execution platforms such as Sauce Labs, LambdaTest.
• Hands-on experience with SeaLights for code coverage analysis, test impact analysis, quality insights, and release risk assessment.
• Proven experience leveraging Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions within software testing and quality engineering.
• Experience using AI-powered development and productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, VS Code AI Extensions, Claude.
• Hands-on experience implementing intelligent testing capabilities including Automated test generation, Self-healing automation, Synthetic test data generation, Intelligent defect analysis, Autonomous testing workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
