Job summary

Zscaler is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer (UI) to join our Shared platform services team in Bangalore, India. You will develop high-performance UI with ReactJS/TypeScript/Tailwind and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud-based solutions.

You will document specifications, drive testing and automation, and contribute to code reviews to maintain quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of JavaScript development with ReactJS applications.
• Maintain lean, up-to-date documentation, testing, and automation in UI workflows.
• Able to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer (UI) to join our Shared platform services team in Bangalore, India. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Software Development, you will be responsible for:

Developing and maintaining high performance resilient UI using ReactJS/TypeScript/Tailwind Documenting and communicating technical specifications to ensure alignment with stakeholders Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers and engineers to ship best-in-class products with quality Identifying and resolving technical challenges and issues by incorporating a robust test automation strategy Participating in code reviews, providing feedback, and enforcing coding standards to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebase

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

3+ years of experience in JavaScript development with building and deploying ReactJS applications You excel in creating lean, clear, and up-to-date documentation, testing, and automation, and view these as integral components of your UI engineering workflow You possess exceptional problem-solving skills and a proven ability to develop creative solutions to technical challenges Prior experience with effectively conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to both technical and non-technical stakeholders You have a demonstrated track record of fostering engineering excellence and driving innovation in previous roles

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Demonstrated expertise in delivering high-quality, detail-oriented work with a focus on performance optimisation and code quality Skilled in designing and implementing scalable, reusable front-end architectures that prioritise seamless user experiences and efficient component composition Experience in D3 Charts, Webpack, Nextjs, Typescript, Playwright Automation, Unit testing frameworks
