Job summary

DNEG is seeking a skilled software engineer to lead integrations of HRIS with internal and commercial systems in Bengaluru. You will design new features, improve the existing integration suite, and work closely with analysts, finance, and developers to translate requirements into architectural specs.

Required are 6+ years in software development, 4+ years with HRIS, Python and SQL, and strong Linux/CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Address bug reports and escalated support promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and lead in the implementation of integrations of internal and commercial software with other HRIS systems.
• Participate in the design and lead in the implementation of new features in the HRIS integration suite.
• Investigate solutions and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our existing integration suite.
• Provide sprint-based updates on tasks’ progress.
• Ensure that bug reports and escalated support requests are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
• Work with business analysts, finance, and software developers to gather requirements and translate them into architectural and feature specifications.
• Write documentation and technical specifications for developed software, create and update troubleshooting playbooks.
• Communicate development plans and complex technical information to colleagues in the development team, and to the wider business, adapting your style as appropriate.
• Coordinate and work with teams in remote sites in different time zones.

Must Have

• 6+ years of non-intern experience in professional software development.
• 4+ years of experience with HR information systems.
• 4+ years of experience with python.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with development in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of software development processes including coding standards, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Eagerness to tackle problems head-on.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject or equivalent work experience.
