Job summary

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Hyderabad, India. This role will involve developing and supporting applications with a focus on Snowflake expertise and machine learning implementations.

The Impact You Will Have In This Role

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or more programming languages for the development and support of applications
• Work effectively within different development methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)
• Apply code patterns and design techniques to ensure performance requirements are met
• Coordinate with senior team members to implement solutions using secure coding best practices
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Work closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, analyzing and implementing solutions that solve complex business problems.
• Research new technologies and incorporate them in day-to-day work
• Incorporate data security, retention, and recovery issues into application builds
• Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Required Skills

• Strong Snowflake expertise (SQL, Snowpark, performance tuning)
• Knowledge on Design and implement AI/ML solutions using Snowflake (Snowpark, Cortex AI, AI SQL)
• Build and deploy machine learning models across enterprise data pipelines
• Knowledge on Develop and integrate GenAI/LLM solutions (NLP, chatbots, semantic search)
• Optimize Snowflake workloads for cost and performance efficiency
• Ensure model accuracy, reliability, and explainability
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to productionize AI workflows

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI / AI SQL
• NLP, semantic search, or conversational AI experience
• Exposure to financial/regulatory platforms
• Knowledge of Snowflake governance and security

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
