• Extensive Python development experience with OO design and multi‑threaded apps.
• Experience with Go (Golang).
• Substantial Terraform experience—modules and submodules from scratch.
• Extensive AWS experience across EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, MSK, ELB, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS.
• Solid Linux systems experience; monitoring critical system health parameters.
• Availability to cover US working hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain telemetry and automation tooling to monitor global platform health.
• Develop automated remediation workflows and improve incident response runbooks to reduce MTTR.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, diagnosing and resolving system issues and internal escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement through post‑incident reviews and reliability initiatives that eliminate classes of failure.
• Develop advanced monitoring software in Python and Go; contribute to full‑stack troubleshooting across React.js, Python back‑ends (Flask, Litestar, Celery), and AWS‑managed Kafka.
• Write infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, building reusable modules and submodules for cloud resources.
• Operate on‑call responsibilities during a 1‑week dispatch cycle; assist with incident triage and prioritization.
• Mentor the team on testing, automation, and reliability best practices.

Key Responsibilities

The role follows a 4‑week rotation schedule: 3 weeks dedicated to development and automation and 1 week for on‑call operations and incident response.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive professional Python development experience, including object‑oriented design and multi‑threaded applications.
• Experience with Go (Golang).
• Substantial hands‑on Terraform experience—authoring modules and submodules from scratch.
• Extensive AWS experience across EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, MSK, ELB, RDS, DynamoDB, and SQS.
• Solid Linux systems experience, including monitoring critical system health parameters.
• Availability to cover US working hours.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with trading systems, financial markets, or low‑latency environments.
• AWS Associate‑level certification or higher (preferred but not required).
• Experience with chaos engineering, SLO/SLI frameworks, or formal reliability programs.
• Prior on‑call experience at a high‑traffic or mission‑critical platform.
• Experience building or supporting React.js applications.
• Working understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and load‑balancing concepts.
