Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to design and manage scalable Azure infrastructure, drive reliability practices, and automate core tasks. The role focuses on improving uptime, performance, and security across cloud services and deployments.

The ideal candidate has extensive Azure expertise, strong SRE foundations, and hands-on experience with containerized workloads, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years experience in SRE/Cloud, DevOps, or Infrastructure Operations.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, reliability engineering, and operational excellence.
• Experience with Azure services including: Azure Virtual Machines, AKS, App Services, Storage, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Monitor, Log Analytics, Key Vault, Networking Services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable Azure-based infrastructure.
• Drive reliability engineering practices to improve system stability, uptime, and performance.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.

• Manage incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.
• Define and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Improve platform resilience through proactive capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application reliability and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
• Implement security best practices and operational governance controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Operations.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, reliability engineering, and operational excellence.
