Job summary

CueForGood is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to independently manage e-commerce projects, build custom Shopify themes, and integrate APIs for diverse brands. You will contribute to both client-facing work and internal knowledge sharing.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid, theme/app development, and migrations to Shopify, with strong server-side language skills and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Must understand Shopify code structure including Themes, App Development and Integrations.
• Proficient in creating custom Shopify themes and modifying templates.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs for products, collections, orders and customers.
• Experience with server-side languages such as PHP, Node.js, Ruby or Python.
• Familiar with Shopify app and theme submission process.
• Able to complete at least one full App development cycle from idea to Shopify App Store listing.
• Proficient in Liquid, jQuery, CSS and HTML; comfortable with Git/SVN.
• Experience migrating businesses to Shopify from other platforms.
• Knowledge of Online Store 2.0 features and updates.
• Capable of handling projects independently.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Senior Shopify Developer
XSenior Shopify Developers at CueForGood make e-commerce better for everyone through their expertise in creating rich, interactive front-end solutions for both client and in-house projects.

You will actively be involved in offering valuable guidance and support to other developers, thereby building meaningful e-commerce solutions. This will be done for a range of businesses i.e. from early-stage brands to brands serving close to a million consumers.

As a Senior Shopify Developer, you will handle projects independently and bring about a positive change in the e-commerce industry.

What will you be doing?

• Understand task requirements and provide effort estimates of assigned tasks.
• Work on client requirements end-to-end, right from writing code to reporting performance issues and knowing how best to deal with them.
• Build performance-oriented standard code that runs on all major browsers.
• Write about, present, and share what you’re learning and working on, both internally and with the wider community via our blog, guides, and social channels.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Expert understanding of Shopify’s code structure (Themes, App Development, Integrations, etc.)
• Proficiency in creating custom Shopify themes and altering pre-existing templates.
• Seasoned knowledge of product, collection, order, & customer APIs in Shopify.
• Mandatory experience in any server-side language (PHP, Node.js, Ruby, or Python).
• Cognizant of the process for app and themes submission in Shopify.
• Exhibited skills working on a minimum of 1 full App development cycle from scratch to listing an app on the Shopify App Store.
• Proficient with Shopify liquid, jQuery, CSS, & HTML. Skilled understanding of code versioning tools GIT/ SVN.
• Experience with e-commerce migrations from other platforms to Shopify.
• Knowledge of new updates like Online Store 2.0.
• Ability to handle projects independently.
• Strong in-person and client communication skills.
