Job summary

TVS Next in Chennai is seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud developer to design and build scalable headless commerce solutions, integrating OCAPI/SCAPI and OMS/ERP systems.

You will lead backend development for checkout flows, promotions, and catalog management, collaborating with frontend teams to deliver seamless headless storefronts while owning modules from design to production with a strong focus on performance and security.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years hands-on SFCC development experience.
• Strong experience with SFCC Headless architecture, Business Manager, and order lifecycle management.
• Proven experience in headless commerce implementations.
• Hands-on experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, and custom API development.
• Experience integrating OMS, ERP, payment gateways, and other third‑party systems.
• REST APIs and middleware integrations.
• Checkout customization and promotions engine knowledge.
• CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Cloud-based deployment models and API-first architecture.
• Debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and own modules.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions in a headless setup.
• Implement and support headless commerce solutions using OCAPI/SCAPI.
• Develop and maintain integrations with OMS, ERP, payment gateways, and other systems.
• Build REST-based services and middleware integrations.
• Lead backend development for order lifecycle, promotions, catalog, pricing, and checkout flows.
• Implement custom cartridges, controllers, hooks, and job frameworks.
• Optimize performance across storefront and API layers.
• Collaborate with frontend teams for seamless storefront integrations.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce security, performance, and maintainability best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analyses.
• Work with Product Owners, QA, Architects, and Integration teams for end‑to‑end delivery.

What we seek in you:

• Strong experience integrating third‑party systems (OMS, ERP, payment gateways, fraud tools, tax engines, shipping providers)
• Experience working with REST APIs and middleware integrations
• Strong understanding of checkout customization and promotions engine
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Familiarity with cloud‑based deployment models and API‑first architecture
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take technical ownership of modules
