Job summary

Socure is seeking a senior security engineer in India to architect and implement scalable security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will drive threat modeling, incident response, and security automation while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to embed security into the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or security engineering, ideally within a high-scale, cloud-based, or fintech/SaaS environment.
• Deep expertise designing and implementing security controls across cloud and on-prem infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong experience with application security, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Hands‑on proficiency in security automation, network and data protection, authentication‑/authorization mechanisms, and encryption.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC2, PCI DSS, etc.) and security standards.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and influencing secure development practices.
• Advanced problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events, analyze security alerts, and lead incident response activities, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

• Develop and maintain security policies, documentation, and tooling to enable self-service and promote secure engineering practices.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior security and software engineers.
• Lead security architecture reviews, advocate for strong authentication, authorization, encryption, and data privacy across all services.
• Partner with internal/external stakeholders on security audits, assessments, and compliance initiatives.
• Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends, continuously enhancing Socure’s security posture.
