Job summary

Musafir is seeking an Senior SDET/Automation Engineer to own automation strategy across web, API, mobile, and backend services on our cloud-native travel platform. You will architect scalable Playwright-based frameworks, define test coverage and quality gates, and mentor SDETs to elevate coding standards.

The role focuses on API, performance, and end-to-end testing within CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with Engineering and DevOps to improve testability and release quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SDET/Automation Engineering.
• Strong coding skills in TypeScript and/or Python; Java/C# is a plus.
• Expert hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong understanding of automation framework architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST/SOAP.
• Experience with performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
• Strong CI/CD experience with Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Docker and microservices testing.
• Familiarity with Jira, TestLink, and BDD using Cucumber/SpecFlow.
• Experience defining automation coverage, quality KPIs, and quality gates.
• Strong debugging, RCA, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript/Python.
