Job summary

NTT DATA North America seeks a Senior SDET in India to lead QA efforts for a new team across Hyderabad, Noida and Gurugram. You will define and execute test strategies for web UI, API, and DB automation, enhancing the existing framework and driving high-quality delivery in an Agile setting.

The role requires expertise in WebdriverIO/Typescript, Cypress, Playwright, and strong SQL skills, with CI/CD and containerization experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with E2E Testing Web UI applications, API and DB automation testing.
• Expertise in Automation Testing for WebdriverIO (Typescript) and Cypress (JavaScript).
• Playwright (JavaScript) for automation and manual testing.
• Proficient in Hybrid and BDD frameworks and STLC management.
• Solid database concepts, SQL querying and data migration testing.
• Track record in CI/CD environments and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and quality efforts across a new team with multiple feature delivery teams.
• Develop and review test strategies and plans for comprehensive feature coverage.
• Oversee performance tests across applications and automate tests within the framework.
• Improve and extend the automation framework; guide automated test development.
• Collaborate with product and development to foster a culture of quality.
• Review requirements and design docs to create detailed test plans and cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities in Agile.

We are currently seeking a Senior SDET to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

Senior SDET

Location : Hyderabad / Noida / Gurugaon

Responsibilities:

• Lead the testing and quality efforts on a new team, working in collaboration with other feature delivery teams to ensure appropriate practices and processes are followed.
• Oversee and participate in the development and review of test strategies and test plans to ensure appropriate test coverage of all features.
• Oversee and participate in the performance of tests across various applications.
• Work with, extend and improve our existing test automation framework and guide the team in the development of automated tests.
• Work closely with product and development to cultivate a culture of quality within the team.
• Become a subject matter expert in the domain and applications built and supported by our program.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Review requirements, user stories, specifications, and technical design documents and create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases using available test methods.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities in Agile environment.
• Design, develop & maintain framework, scripts and execute automation scripts.

What We’re Looking For:

QA Automation Engineering

• Experience with E2E Testing Web UI applications, API, DB automation testing.
• Expertise in Automation Testing for WebdriverIO (Typescript), and Cypress (JavaScript)
• Playwright (JavaScript) for both automation and manual testing.
• Proficient in Hybrid and BDD frameworks
• Adept at managing all stages of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Solid understanding of database concepts, methodologies, and best practices
• Proficiency in SQL and database querying
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data migration testing
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs and perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

DevOps & Automation

• Experience in CI/CD environments with tools like Azure, TeamCity
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Container Orchestration Service, Helm ,ECS
• CI/CD design using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Open Telemetry
• Secret Management in test

AI/ML Integration

• Proficiency with AI tools like GitHub Copilot and testing tools such as Selenium and WebDriver.
• Build New Test and maintenance of existing test using copilot
• AI-driven Failure analysis/code reviews/ code optimization using copilot or similar tools
• Build test system/pipelines using agentic AI driven approach

The following experience would be advantageous:

• Prior Experience with the AWS platform is a plus.
• Knowledge of LoadRunner is a plus.
