Job summary

Umanist NA is seeking a Senior SAP SD Tax Process Expert with 9+ years of experience to lead tax and O2C process workstreams in SAP SD. You will collaborate with country tax specialists, S/4HANA leads and process owners to design template-driven solutions that meet regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong presentation and documentation skills, hands-on SAP SD configuration, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of SAP SD and Tax domain experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and tax functionality.
• Familiar with template-driven rollouts and O2C processes.
• Experience with tax tables and compliance requirements.
• Vertex knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate tax requirements into functional specifications.
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
• Capable of managing multiple requirements/projects in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Act as a process expert for SAP SD Tax and support design and implementation of process templates.

• Support prioritisation of tax and compliance requirements across rollouts.
• Prepare and present tax and legal requirements for SAP SD / O2C.
• Gather and document country-specific legal tax requirements with regional stakeholders.
• Present O2C processes to regional tax experts and discuss country-specific needs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to communicate and integrate tax requirements.
• Ensure requirements are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
• Review development outcomes against tax requirements and validate accuracy.
• Resolve gaps identified during validation with stakeholders.
• Present final solutions and support sign-off processes.
• Maintain documentation of requirements, decisions and approvals throughout lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a process expert for SAP SD Tax and support the design and implementation of process templates.
• Participate in workshops with process owners, S/4HANA leads, tax experts and other stakeholders to understand country-specific tax requirements.
• Analyse the impact of template-driven rollouts on tax processes and ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Participate in template planning and support prioritisation of tax and compliance requirements across rollouts.
• Prepare and present tax and legal requirements relevant to the SAP SD / O2C process.
• Gather, analyse and document country-specific legal tax requirements in collaboration with regional tax stakeholders.
• Present O2C processes to regional tax experts and facilitate discussions around country-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as tax, foreign trade, global support and technical teams to communicate and integrate tax requirements.
• Ensure requirements are accurately documented and clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Review development outcomes against defined tax requirements and validate the results for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve gaps or discrepancies identified during validation.
• Present final solutions/results to relevant stakeholders and support the formal sign-off process.
• Maintain proper documentation of requirements, analysis, decisions and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of relevant experience in SAP SD and Tax processes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and relevant tax functionality/configuration.
• Understanding of SAP SD / Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and their tax requirements.
• Experience with template-driven SAP rollouts.
• Knowledge of SAP tax-related tables, configuration and compliance requirements.
• Exposure to tax solutions such as Vertex is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex tax requirements and translate them into clear functional requirements.
• Strong documentation and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to independently manage multiple requirements/projects in parallel.
