Job summary

Lonza Group seeks a Senior SAP FICO Consultant to design, configure and optimize finance processes across a global SAP landscape. You will partner with finance, tax, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions and ensure seamless integration with related modules.

The role is office-first with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time, enabling close collaboration while delivering impact across Lonza's finance transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering SAP FICO consulting, implementation or support in complex environments.
• Strong configuration expertise across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking & Tax.
• Good understanding of integration with CO, MM, SD, PS modules.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Experience with global stakeholders and finance transformations.

Responsibilities

• Own SAP ECC FI solution design, configuration, and continuous improvement across core finance processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Controlling and business stakeholders to translate requirements into SAP solutions.
• Ensure integration between SAP FI and CO/MM/SD/PS and third-party interfaces.
• Lead functional testing and support UAT to ensure compliant solutions.
• Provide expert-level support for complex SAP FICO incidents and AMS collaborations.

This is an office-first role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do

• Own SAP ECC FI solution design, configuration, support and continuous improvement across core finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking and Tax.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Controlling and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions aligned with Lonza standards.
• Ensure effective integration between SAP FI and related modules including CO, MM, SD and PS, as well as third-party applications and interfaces.
• Lead functional testing activities, support user acceptance testing and ensure solutions meet business and compliance requirements.
• Provide expert-level support for complex SAP FICO incidents, ensuring continuity of critical finance operations.
• Collaborate with AMS partners, technical teams and vendors to deliver high-quality, maintainable and compliant solutions.
• Contribute to finance transformation programs, global rollouts and SAP S/4HANA-related initiatives where applicable.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience delivering SAP FICO consulting, implementation or application support services in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in SAP FI configuration across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking and Tax.
• Deep understanding of integration points between SAP FI and modules such as CO, MM, SD and PS.
• Experience translating business requirements into solution designs, functional specifications, testing strategies and deployment-ready solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, support critical finance processes and work effectively with global business and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance experience, SAP certification, and experience within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or life sciences are highly desirable.
