Job summary

vidaXL is seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Developer in Hyderabad, India to drive ABAP solutions across finance, procurement, and sales modules. You will translate complex business requirements into efficient ABAP designs and collaborate with global teams to deliver sustainable ERP enhancements.

Ideal candidates have 6–10 years in ABAP, strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA, CDS, OData, Fiori/UI5, and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA.

We are seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Developer proficient in the latest SAP technology offerings such as ABAP on HANA, CDS, OData, and Advanced OO ABAP.

Responsibilities:

• This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and optimisation of SAP modules related to finance, procurement, and sales.
• The Senior ABAP Developer will need not only strong technical skills but also a deep understanding of business processes to effectively translate requirements into efficient technical solutions in ABAP
• Development: Develop, design, and implement ABAP solutions to support and enhance functionalities within various ERP processes.
• Customisation and Enhancement: Adapt standard SAP functionalities to meet specific business needs.
• Technical Analysis: Perform in-depth technical analysis, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions for complex problems within the SAP landscape.
• Optimisation and Performance Tuning: Identify opportunities for system optimisation, performance tuning, and efficiency improvements within ABAP developments.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create technical documentation, specifications, and reports related to ABAP developments and integrations.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, analysts, and project managers across international boundaries, to ensure successful project deliveries and support ongoing operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development within SAP environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP development tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Understanding of SAP Fiori and UI5 for frontend development.
• Extensive experience with ABAP on HANA, CDS, OData, and Advanced OO ABAP.
• Knowledge of BOPF, RAP and SAP BTP offerings; clean core is an added advantage.
• Experience in customising and enhancing standard SAP functionalities.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience in Scrum will be a benefit.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and follow-on SAP versions.
• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams.
• Certifications in SAP ABAP or relevant modules (optional but beneficial).
• Knowledge of EWM is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of integration with SAP PI/PO / CPI will be an added advantage.
