Job summary

Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce to design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions. You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Growth, Marketing, and Finance teams to deliver impactful business apps.

The role is hybrid with 2 days per week in Bengaluru; relocation is not provided. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years Salesforce experience and strong communications in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Salesforce development experience with Sales Cloud, Apex, VisualForce, LWC and Force.com.
• Self-starter, motivated, multi-tasking under minimal supervision.
• Experience in Agile development.
• Excellent communication in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and code quality focus.
• Experience designing test plans, unit tests, and test classes.

About the role:

Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce.

The Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce will be responsible for the design and development of flexible and scalable solutions on the Salesforce platforms. This role requires that you understand Salesforce and Sales Cloud design and development best practices and can apply them to the delivery of business solutions. The Developer will work with technical and cross-functional business teams to implement enhancements and projects, and resolve incidents, and requires a combination of analytical, technical, business acumen, and communication skills.

You will develop tools to help scale our revenue-generating operations and increase sales efficiency. This is a multi-faceted role where you will work with our Sales, Customer Success, Product, Growth, Marketing, and Finance teams.

This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in our Bengaluru office. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop secure, scalable technical solutions on the Salesforce platforms.
• Analyze business processes and system implementation to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics
• Evaluate existing code, develop plans to reduce technical debt over time, and establish a technology roadmap with system architects. Maintain and optimize full lifecycle software development using standard configuration, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, APIs, and Force.com applications
• Mentor, develop, and train Junior developers
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

• 7+ years of Salesforce development experience with extensive knowledge of Sales Cloud, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, and Force.com tools and applications
• Self-starter, self-motivated, prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision
• Experience in Agile development methodology
• Excellent communication skills and proven success in a dynamic and collaborative environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience designing test plans, performing unit testing, and writing test classes to ensure proper code coverage
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

An ideal candidate also has:

• Working experience with Salesforce CPQ
• Familiarity with integrated applications such as Mulesoft is preferred
• Experience in contributing to setting up CI/CD pipeline
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Certifications: Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, and other preferred
