About the Role

Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Platform & Infrastructure organization responsible for building foundational systems that drive software products. You will spearhead technical direction, act as a technical leader, and enable increasingly complex features and customer use cases across reporting, automations, enterprise capabilities, container orchestration, data storage, real‑time ingestion, and GraphQL execution.

Location & Work Mode

This hybrid role requires 3 days per week in the office located at PRESTIGE TECH PARK, Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560103, India.

Minimum Requirements for the Role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of software design, development, and algorithmic solutions, with at least 4 years in an architect or leadership role.
• Stellar programming fundamentals.
• 4+ years building large‑scale distributed systems.
• 4+ years leading cross‑organization projects.
• Expertise with web services at massive scale on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

An Ideal Candidate Also

• 15+ years of industry experience.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring engineers about systems life cycles and failure modes.
• Fostering collaboration across frontend, mobile, firmware, vision, and ML teams.
• Expert in writing high‑quality, performant code in modern programming languages.
• Production experience with JavaScript and/or client‑side code.
• Expertise on large‑scale enterprise software.
• Demonstrated ability to ship production‑quality software quickly.
• Expertise in at‑scale stream‑processing decision engines.
