Job summary

Ajackus is seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to join our engineering team in Pune. The role focuses on building scalable ecommerce applications, payments, billing, and order management, with strong emphasis on performance and security.

You will design and maintain Rails apps, optimize payments and checkout flows, and ensure reliability in high-traffic environments, collaborating with product, design, and QA teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Experience in e-commerce platforms or systems.
• Strong experience with payments, billing, and checkout flows.
• Hands-on experience with Sidekiq or similar background job frameworks.
• Experience in building and maintaining order management systems/workflows.
• Proven experience working with high-traffic applications or large datasets.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of database design (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Familiarity with caching strategies, queues, and performance tuning.
• We are looking for candidates who are based in Pune or are willing to relocate to Pune.
