Job summary

Graphic Era invites qualified medical professionals to join our General Medicine department in Dehradun. The role involves attending inpatient rounds, managing patients, performing bedside procedures, and documenting care accurately.

• MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine from an MCI/NMC recognized institution.
• Registration with State Medical Council or NMC is required.
• Preferably 3 years post‑MD clinical experience; fresh MD graduates are also encouraged in many institutions.

Responsibilities

• Attend inpatient rounds and outpatient clinics.
• Manage patients under supervision, including diagnosis, investigations, treatment planning, and follow-ups.
• Perform and assist in bedside procedures like lumbar puncture, ascitic tap, central line insertion, etc.
• Monitor and update patient records regularly.
• Provide on‑call/emergency coverage as per duty roster.
• Participate in academic activities such as case discussions, journal clubs, clinical meetings, and seminars.
• Mentor and supervise junior residents and medical interns.
• Contribute to departmental teaching programs and CME (Continuing Medical Education).
• Ensure timely documentation in medical records, discharge summaries, and consent forms.
• Comply with hospital policies regarding infection control, patient confidentiality, and safety.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing departmental research projects.
• Present papers or posters at conferences and publish in indexed journals, if possible.
