Qualifications

• 8–12 years of recruiting experience in software/tech

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to help build high-performing engineering and technology teams in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

This role is ideal for someone who understands technology hiring beyond job descriptions - someone who can engage deeply with engineering leaders, understand complex technical talent requirements, and build thoughtful strategies to identify and close exceptional talent.

You Will Get To

• Own end-to-end technical recruiting for complex and high-impact engineering roles, from intake through offer and close.
• Partner with Engineering leaders and Hiring Managers to understand business priorities, team structures, technical requirements, and talent gaps.
• Translate technical requirements into effective talent strategies and sourcing plans, rather than relying solely on inbound applications.
• Build and maintain strong pipelines of high-quality engineering talent across relevant technology ecosystems.
• Conduct meaningful candidate conversations and demonstrate the ability to understand and assess technical experience, career progression, scope, and impact.
• Use a combination of direct sourcing, market mapping, referrals, networking, research, and talent communities to identify passive candidates.
• Develop a strong understanding of the competitive technology talent landscape, including companies, skills, compensation trends, and candidate motivations.
• Partner with Hiring Managers throughout the interview process to ensure speed, quality, consistency, and an exceptional candidate experience.
• Drive offer strategy and close senior and highly sought-after technical talent, understanding motivations beyond compensation.
• Use recruiting data and market insights to identify bottlenecks, improve conversion, and influence hiring decisions.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. 'Office' employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

Who you are

• 8-12 years of recruiting experience, with significant experience hiring for software engineering and technology organizations.
• Proven experience recruiting within technology product companies, SaaS, cloud, consumer technology, fintech, marketplaces, or other engineering-led organizations.
• Ability to engage credibly with senior engineers and technical leaders and understand technology stacks, engineering environments, and technical career paths.
• Demonstrated success in passive candidate sourcing and talent mapping, particularly for difficult-to-fill roles.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Hiring Managers and challenge assumptions when required.
• Experience managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high bar for candidate quality and experience.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use recruiting data to make decisions and improve outcomes.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Comfortable working in an environment that values ownership, speed, ambiguity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with recruiting systems and tools such as Workday, Gem, and LinkedIn
• Proven expertise with AI tools to create dashboard and automate recruiting processes.

Additional Information

• This is a hybrid role, 3 days work from office
• Working hours are 2 pm to 11 pm IST
• Candidates currently based in Bangalore will be considered
