Kavana is seeking a Senior React Native App Engineer to lead the development of high-quality mobile applications that deliver AI-powered character experiences. You will collaborate with founders, product, design, and backend teams to build smooth, scalable apps supporting real-time multimodal conversations.

Qualifications include 3+ years of React Native experience, proven mobile shipping at scale, and strong SDLC knowledge. You will own architectural decisions and drive features end-to-end.

Kavana is seeking a Senior React Native App Engineer to lead the development of high-quality mobile applications that deliver AI-powered character experiences.

In this role, you will work directly with founders and collaborate with product, design, and backend engineering to build smooth, performant, and scalable applications that support real-time, multimodal interactive conversations.

About the job

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of our mobile application in React Native from the ground up
• Architect and implement core features across mobile and backend systems
• Write clean, modular code optimized for real-time, high-scale performance
• Ship user-facing features weekly with a focus on quality and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with founders and the product team to define and enhance the user experience

Requirements:

• Proficient in React Native with 3+ years of experience building mobile applications.
• Proven experience shipping large-scale Android and iOS apps to production using React Native or native platforms.
• Deep expertise in React Native with solid Python or similar backend skills
• Have a deep understanding of the SDLC
• Good at LLD/HLD and implementation. Understanding of design patterns.
• Solid understanding of system scaling and maintaining performance under load
• Strong product sense with focus on user impact beyond technical implementation
• Self-driven and motivated to build impactful products in a fast-paced environment
• Have deeply integrated AI into how you work
