Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Radar Systems Engineer to advance automotive radar systems and 77 GHz FMCW development. You will lead technically, collaborate with global teams, and support cross-domain projects.

The role requires 10–18 years in embedded software, strong Matlab and C, ASPICE knowledge, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Fluency in English and customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Overall experience 10–18 years with hands-on embedded software development and debugging.
• Exposure to radar testing in laboratory and data analysis.
• Strong Matlab and C-programming skills.

• Technical Expert for Radar Systems and automotive applications.
• Requirements analysis and system specification for FMCW radars (77GHz).

• Support radar measurements in lab and test vehicles.
• Collaborate with global teams and lead project goals.
• Participate in customer test drives when needed.

Your Responsibilities

• Technical Expert for Radar Systems and their Automotive Applications
• Requirements Analysis and System Specification development for FMCW Radars (especially at 77GHz) in collaboration with different customers
• MMIC testing, characterization and failure analysis
• Algorithm and Software Development in the field of Radar Signal Processing
• Support Radar measurements in Laboratory and Test Vehicles
• Interact with different competencies internally in the Global organization
• Occasional participation in Customer Test Drives
• Work with global teams on cross domain support, customer support
• Lead team members to achieve project goals, handle planning and execution
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of advanced software engineering practices

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• Bachelor's degree or Masters or PhD in Electronics Communication, Physics or related fields
• Overall Exp 10 to 18 Years, 10+ years of hands on experience in embedded software development, debugging, log analysis
• Exposure to Radar testing in laboratory and data analysis
• Very good knowledge in Matlab- and C-programming
• Very good English language skills
• Strong team and customer orientation and a high degree of flexibility, dedication and initiative
• Experience with Automotive standards and processes desirable
• Experience in direct customer interaction desirable
• Automotive Product Development Process knowledge (ASPICE)
• Work independently, proactive, decision maker, passion for results, good team player
