Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to own the Salesforce testing strategy, configure automation, run structured test cycles, and maintain a high-quality platform within an Agile delivery team.

You will shape test frameworks, convert stories to test cases, and ensure coverage across Salesforce modules, with expertise in Playwright and API testing driving automated regression efforts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing Salesforce (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud/Experience Cloud) including Apex unit test coverage, Flow testing, and sandbox strategy.
• Experience with Playwright for automated regression tests.
• Experience with automated API/web-service testing and BDD/ATDD practices.
• Hands-on test case creation, test plans, test estimation, and traceability matrices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback on test frameworks, automation architecture, and environment/CI-CD strategy for the Salesforce platform
• Convert story definitions into test cases and acceptance criteria; collaborate with Business Analysts and developers to refine acceptance testing methods
• Review requirements and solution designs to identify test coverage gaps early in the delivery cycle
• Design, build, and maintain automated regression and API test scripts (Playwright)
• Execute automated and manual test scripts across integration, regression, acceptance, and UAT cycles; analyze and report results
• Manage test data, sandbox refresh coordination, and Apex/Flow test coverage as part of the Salesforce release cycle
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Work with Engineering and Business Analysts to integrate test scripts into sprint/release cadence
• Support UAT planning and execution with business stakeholders
• Feed lessons learned back into test framework and process improvements

Summary

As QA Automation Engineer, you own execution of the Salesforce org's testing strategy, configuring automation, running structured test cycles, and ensuring a high-quality, reliable platform as an integral member of the agile delivery team

Day in the life:

• Provide feedback on test frameworks, automation architecture, and environment/CI-CD strategy for the Salesforce platform
• Convert story definitions into test cases and acceptance criteria; partner with Business Analysts and developers to refine acceptance testing methods
• Review requirements and solution designs to identify test coverage gaps early in the delivery cycle
• Design, build, and maintain automated regression and API test scripts (Playwright)
• Execute automated and manual test scripts across integration, regression, acceptance, and UAT cycles; analyze and report results

You’ll be perfect for the role if you have:

• Hands‑on experience testing Salesforce (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud/Experience Cloud) including Apex unit test coverage, Flow testing, and managed package/sandbox strategy
• Understanding of Salesforce governor limits and their impact on test design
• Experience with Salesforce sandbox seeding and test data management

Test Automation & Engineering (Required)

• 6+ years of automation testing experience, Salesforce platform experience strongly preferred
• Must have hands‑on experience developing, maintaining, and executing functional test automation scripts using Playwright.
• Experience with automated API/web-service testing and BDD/ATDD practices
• Hands‑on experience with test case creation, test plans, test estimation, and traceability matrices
• Strong theoretical knowledge of QA processes and software testing methodology
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery teams

Tools & Collaboration

• Source Control & DevOps: Experience with Git (GitHub) and GitHub Actions in a Salesforce CI/CD and release management environment.
• Work tracking: Jira/Confluence

Certifications & Nice To Have (Preferred)

• Salesforce certification, such as Administrator or Platform App Builder
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
