Job summary

Chubb India is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead the Playwright automation efforts for our insurance web applications and APIs. You will work with cross-functional teams across onshore and offshore resources to deliver robust software solutions with a deep understanding of insurance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong automation testing background with Playwright or similar tools.
• Experience with API testing and SQL querying.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for insurance web applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test data for regression and new features.
• Apply AI-driven approaches to improve test design, coverage, and maintenance.
• Ensure CI/CD integration for automated testing within pipelines.

Role Overview

Chubb is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Engineer for the development of insurance web application and APIs. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance business and the ability to effectively communicate with both onshore and offshore resources in the development of high-quality software solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, deploy web-based applications and APIs that ensure Chubb's compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• 10 to 15 years of experience in automation and functional testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience
• Proficient in programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Java
• Knowledgeable about testing methodologies and automation tools.
• Property & Casualty insurance domain experience secondary skill set.
• Advanced proficiency in test case design and execution.
• Strong programming skills for test automation.
• Extensive knowledge of testing tools including Playwright, Selenium, APIs, SQL
• Thorough understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing processes
• Experience in applying AI-driven approaches to enhance Quality Engineering practices by accelerating automation development, reducing manual effort, improving test coverage, and supporting smarter test design and maintenance
